Men In The Box are five lifelong music fans united by a passion for the music of Alice In Chains. Having played together in various bands since 2017, the group first came together to perform a once-off Alice In Chains Unplugged set in Cork’s Pavillion Theatre in 2024 under the guise ‘Jar of Guys’. The response was so strong that they decided to take things further and build a full electric show around the legendary Seattle band’s catalogue. Rebranding as ‘Men in the Box’ in early 2025, the band began their career as an electric outfit by marking Layne Staley’s anniversary to a packed house in Fibber Magees in Dublin, and haven’t looked back since then.
In the following months, Men In The Box quickly built a reputation as one of Ireland’s leading tribute acts, packing venues across the country and earning a loyal following among both die-hard Alice In Chains fans and lovers of 90s rock alike. Highlights to date include a sold-out debut appearance at Dolan’s Warehouse in February 2026, along with repeat bookings at many of Ireland’s best-known live music venues.
